Be The Match Bone Marrow Drive

Hendrick Motors is holding a bone marrow drive for the Be The Match Foundation and the Hendrick Marrow Program.

The Bone Marrow Drive is Thursday, August 26th between 11:30a.m. to 2:00p.m at

Don’t worry, there will be no needles!  You will provide a tissue sample which will be taken with a quick swab of the mouth.  Be the Match Foundation will tissue type the sample and place you on the National Registry, you will be contacted if you match a patient in need of a transplant.  Anyone between the ages of 18 and 60 are eligible.  Refreshments will be provided.

The Hendrick Marrow Program was established by Rick Hendrick, chairman and CEO of Hendrick Motorsports, when he was diagnosed with leukemia in 1997. The Hendrick Marrow Program and Be The Match Foundation work together to help the National Marrow Donor Program. The NMDP raises funds to increase the number of potential donors on the Be The Match Registry and help transplant patients with treatment costs.


The Hendrick Marrow Program has raised more than $8 million, added more than 90,000 members to the Be The Match Registry and provided financial assistance to more than 4,000 patients through grants from the Hendrick Family Fund for Patient Assistance.
